It took no mercy.

“Mercy” beat out all its box office competitors on its opener Friday, raking in $5 million, according to The Numbers.

The sci-fi motion thriller — starring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson, who play a police detective and an AI-generated choose, respectively — will “have you on the edge of your seat,” according to Deadline.

“Avatar: Fire and Ash” remained in the second spot, with gross sales of $1.7 million on its sixth Friday in theaters.

In third was the supernatural psychological horror “Return to Silent Hill,” with $1.6 million in income.

The third installment in the “Silent Hill” movie sequence — which is based on a video recreation and value $23 million to make — was slammed by IndieWire as “a nasty, claustrophobic display of staggering creative ineptitude.”

Disney’s “Zootopia 2” stayed in fourth with a $1.4 million take.

On Jan. 18, when it reached a complete of $1.7 billion in global box office income, the zebra buddy cop comedy dethroned “Inside Out 2” as the highest-grossing U.S. animated movie of all time.

“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,” which was in first place last Friday, dropped down to fifth, taking in $1.2 million.
