Donald Trump-endorsed Johnson, a fervent conservative Christian and fourth-term Republican consultant of Louisiana, drew a connection between Biden’s border coverage and the bloodbath in an interview on Fox & Friends on Thursday.
“Let me say something else that is obvious – I don’t know if enough attention is being paid to this – we know for the last four years the Biden administration has been completely derelict in its duty that congressional Republicans, we here in the House and Senate, have repeatedly asked the [Department of Homeland Security] under the Biden administration about: the correlation, the obvious concern, about terrorism and the wide open border,” he stated.
He continued: “That dangerous people were coming here in droves and setting up potentially terrorist cells around the country.
“We have been ringing the alarm, impeached DHS Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas within the House over that very problem.
“They told us that the number one threat was so-called racially-motivated extremism. It was nonsense.”
He went on to accuse the Biden administration of killing the border security invoice, describing the terrorist assault as a “real consequence” of its failure.

Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, a senior fellow on the American Immigration Council, defined on X, “EVEN IF the truck had come through a port of entry from Mexico, the driver would have been required to present a visa, passport, or valid travel document.
