Mike Wolfe steps back from American Pickers amid | TV Shows

Mike will also be working on a new unscripted show titled History’s Greatest Picks with Mike Wolfe. Using narration, archival footage and reenactments, the series will feature the background stories of four famous objects in hour-long episodes.

While the production around the new show will look slightly different, Mike is adamant the concept will still appeal to Pickers fans.

“It’s about the discovery of things, but the bottom line is it’s very story-based like my show is,” he gushed.

Mike’s impending hiatus comes after customers at his Antique Archaeology store in Iowa left there feeling worse for wear.

The business owner was blasted for its high prices, with customers accusing the 60-year-old reality star of charging three times the normal price.

Customers also slammed the store for their large selection of merchandise. One customer wrote, “Place is way overrated and overpriced… Highly recommended to stay away from this place.

As another fumed, “Overpriced items they found at estate sales that they dust off and then charge 3x the price. And that’s most stores…”
