But White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has informed The New York Post that Musk is now working remotely.
“Instead of meeting with him in person, I’m talking to him on the phone, but it’s the same net effect,” Wiles mentioned.
“He’s not out of it altogether. He’s just not physically present as much as he was,” she added.
Wiles mentioned that while the Tesla CEO could be “stepping back a little” he was not “abandoning” his function with DOGE, including that “his folks aren’t going anywhere.”
Musk has been designated a “special government employee,” which permits him to work at a authorities job for 130 days each yr. His time in the function is set to expire in May.
Last week, Musk mentioned that from May, he will begin dedicating more time to Tesla, including that he expects to spend just “a day or two per week on government matters.”
