The investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has taken a major flip as authorities are now trying into gun retailers in Arizona.

About sixteen days have handed since Nancy, 84, was reported lacking from her home in Arizona on February 1. Law enforcement indicated that the mom of the Today Show host, Savannah Guthrie, was possible kidnapped. Traces of blood found on her entrance porch have been subsequently confirmed through testing to belong to Nancy.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, who is cooperating with the FBI, believes Savannah’s mom was kidnapped against her will. This comes after Savannah issued a haunting prediction as the FBI launched a bone-chilling video of the suspect

On February 16, NewsNation’s Senior National Correspondent, Brian Entin, took to X and wrote, “FBI agents have been to several gun stores in Tucson with a list of forty people and their photos.”

Entin added that the brokers are “looking to see if any of them were in the store or purchased a weapon.”

The sequence of pictures and videos reveals a masked particular person who has been deemed a potential suspect.

On February 13, FBI Director Kash Patel said on social media that the masked individual was “armed” and appeared “to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.”

Patel said that the FBI and the sheriff’s division have been working carefully with their “private sector partners” to continue recovering any photos or video footage from Nancy’s home “that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible.”

He added that the footage was recovered “from residual data located in backend systems.”

A former SWAT commander and police captain, Josh Schirard, then spoke with GWN about the footage, particularly about the potential suspect’s “universal nylon style holster.”

Schirard talked about that the holster just isn’t one somebody who generally carries a firearm would make the most of.

“This seems more like a very cheap, off-the-shelf holster that somebody just stores their gun in. And it just happens to have a belt loop on the back of it that they thought that they could throw on,” Schirard said.

“Was it out of convenience? Obviously, the intent wasn’t to conceal it. So was the intent to make sure it was displayed in order to be threatening when he went into that house? Or to be quickly accessed when he went into that house? Or in case anyone came across him?” he requested.

Entin also shared the online assertion from Sheriff Nanos launched on February 16. Savannah and her household have been eliminated from the record of potential suspects in her mom’s abduction.

Nanos’s assertion read, “To be clear…the Guthrie household – to embrace all siblings and spouses — has been cleared as attainable suspects in this case.

“The family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious, and they are victims in this case. To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel.

“The Guthrie household is victims plain and simple…please, I’m begging you, the media to honor your occupation and report with some sense of compassion and professionalism,” Nanos wrote.
