NBC encountered important viewer backlash after interrupting Super Bowl LX pre-game coverage to broadcast an interview with President Donald Trump. Supporters have been left incensed when the NBC News exclusive dialogue with President Trump, 79, aired during their coverage, despite his continued criticism of the event. The president and a number of distinguished MAGA figures have repeatedly focused the event following the announcement of Bad Bunny as halftime show performer.

President Trump revealed he wouldn’t be attending this 12 months’s major sporting fixture after sharing his fury at the reserving of both Bad Bunny and opening ceremony performers Green Day. A fourth social media person said, “I can’t believe what @nbc did before they aired their interview with @realDonaldTrump during the SB Pre-game. What a bunch of scumbags! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! This NBC pregame show is the absolute worst and most unrelated to the actual event I have ever seen.”

A fifth wrote, “For the “keep politics out of sports activities” crowd, why are we having an interview with Trump during the Super Bowl pregame show on NBC? Why is this needed for the game coverage?”

Speaking from the Oval Office at the White House on 24 January, the president acknowledged he had no intention of watching either Grammy-winning Puerto Rican celebrity Bad Bunny or legendary rock band Green Day. Both acts have beforehand criticised President Trump, and he has made clear his dissatisfaction with their choice as leisure for the globally famend sporting event.

President Trump said of the halftime performers, “I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”

Nevertheless, the president confirmed he has further causes for not attending the match between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. He told the New York Post, “It’s just too far away.
