Netflix viewers have just 48 hours to catch up with the beloved comedy collection Shameless, which has been a success with its viewers. When it debuted back in 2004, Shameless burst onto our screens and immediately carved its area of interest as one of the standout reveals of its time.

Written by the Burnley-bred Paul Abbott, the programme offered an unvarnished, comedic and generally startling portrayal of Britain’s working-class existence.

Centering on the chaotic Gallagher clique, with Frank Gallagher at the helm as the neglectful, self-absorbed, and often inebriated household head.

Six kids – Fiona, Philip, Ian, Debbie, Carl, and Liam – had been born to Frank and his ex Monica, both of whom had been too enamoured with intoxicants to be current dad and mom.

In the midst of adversity, Fiona escalated as the ersatz guardian, battling to assist her youthful siblings. The Gallaghers resided in the fictional neighborhood of Chatsworth in Manchester and had been infamous for orchestrating essentially the most raucous of festivity, reviews Surrey Live.

Their world was full of narcotics, delinquency and unbridled chaos, capturing Shameless into the ranks of one of the nation’s must-watch tv extravaganzas during that period.

Although it’s been nicely over a decade since we waved goodbye to the collection, lovers of the show have revelled in the prospect to binge-watch it again on Netflix – but they do not have long left to watch it.

This treasured franchise will soon vanish from Netflix, with it set to be eliminated from the streaming service on June 16.

Even after years have handed, it’s unmistakable that Shameless still captivates its viewers, echoed by one fan who exclaimed the collection “makes you glad to be alive”.

One fan took to IMDB to categorical their shock at the show’s appeal: “Never watched this until now. I’m pleasantly surprised because I thought it would be something I would have on in the background while I was on my phone.

“Turns out I actually just like the characters! Some good actors in the programme and likeable characters. Mostly all a bit fantastical but enjoyable nonetheless.”

Another viewer praised the show, saying: “If they got here up with more stuff like this, I’d be addicted to the Box. Fantastic script, characters and performing and the funniest, freshest British made comedy I’ve seen since Spaced and (to a barely lesser extent) The League of Gentlemen.”

A different fan remarked: “This is one essentially the most stand-out, must-see collection British tv has produced. The exploits of the Gallagher household are no-holds-barred and assured to either offend the viewer, or trigger them to slide off their chair and roll around the ground, laughing their behinds off.”

Meanwhile, another added: “I used to be blown honest out of my chair by this show, and presumably appreciated it all the more because I had no expectations, although once I famous Paul Abbott’s title under ‘author’ I knew I used to be in for one thing particular.”
