Gabby went missing on August 27, five days after her initial message to Jackson. Brian aroused suspicion when he returned to his parents’ home in Florida in the white van Gabby had purchased without her.
On September 19, Gabby’s body was discovered in Wyoming’s Bridger-Teton National Forest; an autopsy showed she died from blunt-force injuries and manual strangulation.
Brian ended his life, with his remains found next to a journal containing his confession to murder.
