It’s that time of 12 months again, as Americans flip on their TVs and watch Ryan Seacrest welcome in 2026 with yet another installment of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

However, instead of having fun with the star-studded line-up of performers and inspiring moments, some took the time out of their night time to bash the 51-year-old‘s look.

The former American Idol host took over New Year’s Rockin’ Eve from Dick Clark in 2007, after the TV legend had a stroke in 2004 that left him unable to host the show he had been in charge of since 1971. Seacrest has been internet hosting solo since 2012, but has been accompanied by numerous visitor correspondents, including Rita Ora, who has been with him since the 2023-24 version.

As Seacrest and Ora launched a number of artists, including Mariah Carey and 50 Cent, on stage, fans took to X, previously Twitter, to slam his look.

One particular person brutally wrote, “Please, please someone give Ryan Seacrest a big sandwich! You’re too skinny but we love you!!”

Another bashed, “Ryan Seacrest looking chopped and ugly,” as a third joked, “Looks like Ryan Seacrest’s face dropped before the ball did.”

A 3rd penned, “The Joker, AKA Ryan Seacrest,” as a fourth said, “Ryan Seacrest looks terrible.” A fifth commented, “Ryan Seacrest looks like Dick Clark did at 90. The dude’s face doesn’t look good at all! I long for the days when Dick Clark just mumbled on for an hour.” Meanwhile, another particular person wrote, “Ryan Seacrest eyes look different.”

Seacrest did have some supporters, though, including one who wrote about his means to host the particular. “As always, Ryan Seacrest is one great host for New Year’s Eve,” the fan wrote. Another fan gushed, “Man, Ryan Seacrest puts on a hell of a show.”

This is not the first time that fans have commented on Seacrest’s look. As episodes of Seacrest’s first season internet hosting Wheel of Fortune aired, the 51-year-old appeared skinnier than regular, as fans called him “gaunt” and fearful about him.

In late October, fans mentioned Seacrest’s look on Wheel of Fortune. “What is up with Ryan’s face?” one viewer bluntly said in a Reddit thread, noting that the host’s “cheeks look unnaturally pronounced” currently. “Bad cheek implants? May be just the camera angles?” the poster prompt.

In a earlier interview with Entertainment Tonight, the TV host said he was “over-exercising, eating better, over-training” and doing “anything I can do to feel 29 again.”

His current weight loss is said to be regarding his buddies, who declare he is “exhausted” from his busy schedule.
