The Interstellar star, who made an surprising bed room revelation last yr, first graced an Uber Eats advert during the 2025 Super Bowl. Alongside other celebrities like Kevin Bacon, Greta Gerwig, and Martha Stewart, they spun a story of a decades-long conspiracy in which the NFL invented soccer to enhance food consumption.

Additional segments showed McConaughey, 56, explaining why the game was exclusively played on Sundays and offering food-themed explanations for how the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills received their names, while the “Super Bowl” was supposedly named for its connection to bowls of food.
It also lampooned that year’s game designation, LIX, which, according to McConaughey, represented “licks,” a halftime performance sponsored by an “apple,” and the Caesars Superdome, the sport’s venue, was influenced by Caesar Salad.
The industrial in the end revealed that the whole presentation was a film pitch McConaughey was delivering to Gerwig – one that she in the end turned down.
