Nigel Farage smirks on GB News as he makes Labour a | UK News


Reform UK chief Nigel Farage spoke today in Havering as he celebrated “truly historic shift” after successful at least 28 of the 55 seats in the local authority. He said the “best is yet to come” as he stood exterior Havering Council and said he’s “very excited” about the prospects in Sunderland, Barnsley, Calderale, Wakefield, and Cannock Chase.

During the speech he also confirmed very different reactions when a reporter requested if he will welcome any new members from the opposing events – and he made a daring offer to Labour councillors. Farage was seen smirking on digicam and trying around his friends, saying: “Who knows? Who knows? I mean, we’ve already got Sir Robin Wales from Newham. You know, former council leader and actually quite a legend in local government in Labour.

“And I believe the time for conversations with patriotic, outdated Labour representatives is now. So I’ll take Labour defections.”

When requested of the same query in direction of the Tories, he gave a defiant reply saying: “No! Doors closed, sorry! Roger got here, he’s very welcomed. But no, no more Tories, no more Tories!”

He said during his campaign work, people, and especially women, asked him to “save us”. He explained that it’s a sign that the “society is in speedy decline”, adding: “There is a feeling on the market that all the values that have mattered to people their complete lives, the sort of nation they need their youngsters and grandkids to live in, could be very severely under menace.”

Farage added: “I might suspect that the rumbling goes to start, even before the King’s Speech, he’d be fortunate to still been there by mid-summer, Sir Keir Starmer. He’s a good chap.”

GB News presenters then spoke to Defence Secretary, John Healey MP, who shared his opinions on Nigel Farage and said “this is just not a man I might trust to lead our nation”.

“He’s in inflicting division, he is in exploiting issues than fixing them. Look what he said when Reform took Worcester council, he said he hadn’t bothered to win. He wasn’t keen to deal with the issue the people confronted.”
