No Votes Until Senate Takes Action on SAVE Act –

It’s been one of the most irritating conundrums for conservatives in the second Trump period: they control the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives, yet they will’t get the SAVE America Act, which might require voters to produce proof of citizenship to register and present a photograph ID to submit a poll, handed.

Although the SAVE Act has handed the House, Republicans are short of the 60 votes needed in the Senate to get it achieved, and Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) has refused to get rid of the filibuster, saying he can’t corral enough votes for that either.

As the Senate readies for another trip, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13) and other conservatives have seen enough. She’s threatening to halt all House business until the Act is handed in the higher chamber.

She’s not enjoying video games, she vowed:

“There’s going to be no votes this week, and it’s going to be as long as it takes,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., who is main the trouble, told Fox News Digital in an interview.

The hardball techniques led House Republican management to pull a collection of votes on Wednesday. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is predicted to put laws that had already been teed up for a vote Thursday, but it’s unclear whether or not he might be ready to persuade Luna and other conservatives to end their blockade, successfully freezing the House ground.

“The president’s been very clear,” Luna told Fox News Digital. “He’s not playing these games anymore, and I’m going to fully back him, and I have the votes to do it.”

Trump Forces SAVE America Act: Housing Bill Now on Hold

As Ben Smith reported, Trump hasn’t been enjoying video games either, and on Wednesday, he refused to signal a sweeping bipartisan housing invoice until motion is taken on SAVE.

The Senate began a two-week-plus Independence Day vacation Wednesday, and although they’re holding some professional forma periods, no legislative business might be performed until July 13.

It is 10pm and Thune just acquired unanimous consent (that means not one senator objected) for the Senate to adjourn 19 days (July thirteenth) that means the Senate goes home after tonight’s votes.

I cannot be voting to re-open the ground until the Senate will get back to Washington. The Senate is actually operating and not ONE senator objected to going on trip before 4th of July.

John Thune is operating and hiding because he doesn’t need to get voter ID across the end line.

President Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-40) are scheduled to meet Thursday to talk about the deadlock. Meanwhile, the frustration over the 80-20 issue continues.
