NosyParker Karen Calls Child Protective Services

Well, it would not be a… day without some recent leftist outrage. The latest comes to us from Maryland, where a high faculty pupil group affiliated with the late Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) is having issues – including a naggy Karen calling Child Protective Services on them over imagined malfeasances.

A pupil group affiliated with Turning Point USA is dealing with criticism for internet hosting an event at a Maryland high faculty in December, with one lady saying that Child Protective Services had been notified.

A local group member, who was recognized as Nancy, expressed “serious concern” about the December TPUSA-affiliated event at a February 12 board assembly. The lady spoke after a pupil from the high faculty who serves as president of the Calvert County Club America.

That pupil said his group positioned restrictions on the event after receiving “hate” online, including proscribing access for adults they didn’t know who weren’t volunteers or mother and father of attendees. He also acknowledged that all college students who attended had parental permission.

OK, so it is a Nancy, not a Karen. Whatever. The children appear to have acted responsibly, after an outpouring of hate, they restricted people they did not know from attending their event, and they required all minor attendees to have parental permission. But that did not stop detractors from heaping up the horse squeeze. The younger president of the group said:

“We have been accused of many things. We have been accused of grooming children… an allegation that a random unnamed man was president of our group and had certain felony charges. I’m the president of the group. I’m 17, I’m a minor. I can’t groom children because I am a child. I don’t have any felony charges or convictions,” the coed said, including an invitation to talk about any questions.

All of these accusations are the purest of corral litter, of course, but that did not stop Karen, er, Nancy from talking up – and she performed the Child Protective Services card.

Nancy spoke next, raising her points with the TPUSA event. 

“While community building opportunities for students are important, this event raises serious concerns related to student safety, parental rights and governance oversight,” the girl acknowledged, claiming that mother and father and legal guardians weren’t permitted to attend the event.

“Excluding parents and guardians from a student-focused event creates a lack of transparency and undermines established best practices for youth safety,” she continued, going on to say that such occasions needs to be subject to supervision and background checks.

“Students are widely recognized as vulnerable population, they are in critical developmental stages, and especially susceptible to influence,” she added.

“All Board of Education members in this room are mandated reporters under state law, as I am. Based on the circumstances surrounding this event, a report was made to Child Protective Services,” the girl added as she concluded her remarks.

Nancy, as we could properly have predicted, places forth a load of the stuff one finds under the south end of a northbound horse.

Look, anybody is free to disagree with anybody else’s opinion on any given issue, even apparent ignoramuses like “Nancy.” But the call to Child Protective Services is nothing more than harassment and intimidation. People can debate; that’s what Charlie Kirk did. He did not speak to people; he talked with people, and that’s a key distinction, one that is all too often misplaced on the left. 

So why the harassment? Why the intimidation, or at least, the makes an attempt at intimidation? (I suspect these children aren’t simply intimidated.) Because the left cannot argue on details. They cannot argue on motive. If they struggle, they lose. Also, the left sophomorically thinks they’ve some ethical high ground. 

There’s an previous saying, attributed to many people, including the late Dr. Charles Krauthammer and William F. Buckley, that states, “Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.” That bears great import; the appropriate tends to see the left as vapid, shallow, and ill-informed, and that’s because they so continuously are, but liberals who aren’t really brain-damaged could yet be amenable to studying. 

But the left, seeing the appropriate as evil, tosses all restraint apart. No tactic is simply too harsh. No false accusations are too great. Anyone they disagree with must be silenced.

That appears to be how “Nancy” is working. She will not be the one who really called Child Protective Services to lie about an harmless pupil group, but she sure as all get-out is approving of the act.
