Oscars star’s shock Trump remark leaves viewers raging | UK News

Many UK movie followers tuned into ITV this night to watch the 97th Academy Awards. Jonathan Ross offered the show, joined by well-known faces, as they mentioned the winners and nominees of tonight’s awards – however one visitor brought on outrage together with her feedback.

Dune: Part Two was introduced because the winner of Best Sound, because the crew and forged took to the stage to just accept it. Back within the ITV studio, Jonathan and his company mentioned the win. Mariella Frostrup shared her ideas, saying that none of the movies on this 12 months’s nominations are “really big crowd pleasers” exept for Wicked and Aurora. She added: “It makes it more interesting in a way because things are more, like, spread out.

“But I do get annoyed with issues like sound. I at all times discovered that it is movies with singing or music in them that get nominated for sound. But truly sound in a film is about a lot else, and I’d have appreciated to have seen Conclave or The Brutalist no less than within the record.”

Jonathan cut in as he said: “Well I agree with you, but Dune did just win best sound and it isn’t really a song heavy film.” She added: “No, but it’s got a lot of noise. It’s just a lot of noise!”

She later also moved to a more political stance as she said that things were hard for people in the States at the minute but “no one is addressing the elephant within the room”. She then went on to make a sly dig at US President Donald Trump as she referred to him as a “giant orange orangutan”.

Fans at home were outraged as they rushed to social media to make complaints about the ITV show’s guest. One fumed: “ITV blonde bob b**ch simply stated Dune Part 2 ‘isnt a huge film’ and ‘not a crowd pleaser’ @ITV GET HER OFF THE PROGRAMME. FIRE HER #Oscars.”

While a second echoed: “Wow @ITV this blonde woman is aware of nothing about filmmaking! Please do your self a favour and get her off the screen #Oscars.”

“We don’t need people to handle the elephant within the room, that is about movies not bloody politics, politics don’t make spicy speeches let people thank their family members. HONESTLY ITV DO NOT BRING BOB WOMAN BACK #Oscars,” one more raged.

And someone else said: “Why does this silly bob woman keep saying this 12 months doesn’t have ‘big films that everyone is invested in’ like genuinely what are you saying?? Where does itv discover these people??”
