Prep speak: Laguna Beach has three freshmen | College News
Laguna Beach’s soccer season got here to an end on Friday evening after the Breakers misplaced to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 44-28 in a Division 3 playoff opener. But if you noticed the performances of three freshmen starters, you’d know how promising the future seems to be for Laguna Beach.
Luke Bogdan, 6-foot-4, 260 kilos, and Winston Darrow, 6-foot-4 and 240 kilos, are 14 years previous. Both start on the offensive line. Bogdan also performed on the line of defense. Then there’s Charlie Christian, a operating back and linebacker who is 15 and never desires to go down without a struggle.
To have gamers so younger holding their own on an offensive line in Division 3 was exceptional. Quarterback Jack Hurst was sacked once. Then there’s Christian, who caught 5 passes for 85 yards while also taking on Notre Dame’s big offensive line on protection at his linebacker place.
When school recruiters see these freshmen on movie and think about how big and strong they could develop into in the approaching years, they’ll be impressed.
