Puka Nacua (calf) a game-time decision for Rams | College News
Rams receiver Puka Nacua didn’t follow Friday because of a calf injury and was listed as questionable for Sunday’s recreation against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Nacua took half in the bulk of follow on Thursday but didn’t end it. Rams coach Sean McVay indicated that assessments revealed “a little minor thing in there,” and that Nacua can be a game-time decision Sunday.
“I don’t think he knows exactly when it occurred,” McVay said, including, “he felt it where he wasn’t able to have some of the power and full explosion … but I don’t think he was aware of any sort of specific play that led to it.”
Nacua performed in the season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers and then sat out two video games because of a hip injury that triggered stomach soreness. He returned and produced more than 100 yards receiving in each of the next two video games, and then caught six passes for 80 yards in Sunday’s 18-16 defeat by the Arizona Cardinals.
Nacua, the NFL receptions chief in 2025, has 37 catches for 417 yards and a landing, and he also has rushed for a landing this season.
Nacua’s injury is the latest in a sequence suffered by a Rams workforce that opened the season as the favourite to win Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium, but has misplaced its last two video games to fall to 2-4.
Receiver Davante Adams is anticipated to be sidelined six to 10 weeks because of a hamstring injury suffered against the Cardinals.
Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, Tutu Atwell and rookie CJ Daniels are other Rams receivers.
“It’s our job to figure out, all right, what are some of the spots we can put them in that accentuate their skill sets,” McVay said.
Inside linebacker Nate Landman is out because of a concussion, McVay said. So veteran Eric Kendricks, who was signed to the follow squad a few weeks in the past, might be activated to the roster against the Raiders.
Cornerback Trent McDuffie, who sat out against the Cardinals because of a groin injury, didn’t follow this week and might be listed as questionable against the Raiders.
