Jon Rahm’s agent took drastic steps to stop a well-known golf journalist from questioning the LIV Golf star about his future in the game.

Rahm has remained tight-lipped about what lies forward for him with LIV Golf following the announcement that the Saudi PIF would stop funding the league after the 2026 season.

“I was hoping to ask the man himself last month outside the Aronimink clubhouse,” wrote Shipnuck on Skratch. “But Rahm’s agent Jeff Koski stuck his elbow in my ribs and shoved me out of the way, a wildly inappropriate overreaction.”

Rahm’s future stays unsure as LIV Golf seeks potential buyers, with the rest of this season not assured, as CEO Scott O’Neil told CNBC, “What I can guarantee is a heck of a return if you come invest in this business.”

Just days in the past, he acknowledged he must have religion that the PIF will honor their dedication, as the funds help workers, event operations and, of course, some of the world’s top gamers.

“I can say they’ve been terrific partners so far,” O’Neil told CNBC. “And you have to take an incredible organization like PIF at their word. They’ve been very public about funding us through the season, so we are full steam ahead. The players are locked in. The management team is locked in.”

The loss of funding left many gamers unsure about their futures. O’Neil revealed to CNBC that he had held 5 conferences with potential buyers that week, with 18 more already lined up.

“We have incredible business momentum,” O’Neil said. “What we don’t have is a lot of time. So we’re very urgently out there talking to those who are interested. We like the pool, but we have to get this done through the summer.”

Rahm departed the PGA Tour in 2023 to be part of the Saudi-backed league for a substantial payday, and remained tight-lipped about what the expertise had taught him about himself.

“That is for me to know,” said Rahm at the PGA Championship. “And that’s about that.”
