Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) apologized on behalf of the U.S about the lethal strike against Iran on Feb. 28 that led to the killing of 175 civillians in an all ladies faculty in Iran.

“It was terrible. We made a mistake,” he told NBC reporter Sahil Kapur. “Other countries do that sort of thing intentionally, like Russia. We would never do that intentionally. I think the department is investigating it now, and I’m sorry. I’m just so sorry it happened. It was a mistake.”

The senator’s apology comes at a time the Trump administration has not formally taken responsiblity for the strikes that killed the over a whole lot of civillians.

On Monday, a reporter at a press convention in Doral, Florida requested the president if the uswould take accountability for the killing and damaging of the all ladies faculty. But Trump deflected- claiming other nations also have Tomahawks.

“I think it’s something that I was told is under investigation, but Tomahawks are used by others, as you know. Numerous other nations have Tomahawks they buy them from us. But I will certainly, whatever the report shows, I’m willing to live with that report,” the president said.

Investigative journalism group Bellingcat famous that the usis the only nation identified to have Tomahawk missiles, a distinction to Trump’s argument, who said it might have been an Iranian Tomahawk.

A reporter also requested White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt why President Trump said that Iran might have tomahawk missiles when only the U.S, three U.S allies such as the Royal Australian Navy, Royal Netherlands Navy and Royal Navy, are identified to have those missles.

“Again the president said yesterday he will accept the conclusion of this investigation by the Department of War. I know there has been a lot of speclation in the media on who is responsible for this. We are not gonna get ahead. The president has a right to share his opinions with the American public,” Leavitt said. “We’re not gonna be harrassed by the New York Times who have put a lot of articles on this making claims that have not been verified by the Department of War.”

Outlets just like the New York Times, Associated Press, the Guardian and Bellingcat independently verified and concluded the Tomahawk missile that probably broken the varsity and killed 175 civllians was a U.S weapon.

On Saturday, Trump told reporters that the strike was Iran’s doing.

“No. In my opinion and based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran.” He said, “They’re very inaccurate, as you know, with their munitions.”

An nameless source, who recognized themselves as a U.S official acquainted with inner deliberations on the matter, told the Associated Press that the strike from Feb. 28 was probably U.S-led.

“The Department of War would be investigating that if that was our strike, and I would refer your question to them,” Rubio told reporters on March 2 when requested about the incident. “The United States would not deliberately target a school.”

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said last Wednesday that the U.S. navy was investigating the incident.

On Monday the protection secretary said the usis not concerned in a “politically correct” battle.

“America, regardless of what so-called international institutions say, is unleashing the most lethal and precise air power campaign in history,” he said at a press convention. “No politically correct wars. We fight to win, and we don’t waste time or lives.”
