The Beatles‘ drummer Ringo Starr has confirmed that he has never eaten pizza or curry in his complete life.

During an look on the Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he addressed varied web rumors about himself and clarified the origin of his identify.

When requested if it was true that he had never eaten pizza, he stunned the viewers by saying: “I have never had a pizza. All the people in the back are going ‘what?’ Or a curry.”

He added: “I’m allergic to several items and pizza, you dunno what they’re putting in it half the time or the curry. So I am pretty strict with myself because it makes me ill immediately.”

“I used to think you had the greatest life, and now I realize mine is better,” Kimmel joked, to which Ringo replied: “Yours is better because you’ve had a pizza.”

He mentioned: “The name of the gang was, you’re in a gang. There was no name, and you come from that neighbourhood. We didn’t really all dress the same.”

Ringo added: “Someone bigger than you would say, ‘we’re going here tonight and we’re going to sort it out’, and you’d have to fight your way out. Some of them had knives… My friend, his name was Tommy, he had a hammer. He was the hammer man, because he carried a hammer.

“But the place I come from, in case you did issues typically enough, you would be referred to as one thing. So mine, my mom beloved shiny rings, so I began sporting rings.

“And so they suddenly, instead of calling me, you know, my real name, Richard or Richie or that, they’d say, ‘Hey, Rings, what’s happening? ‘ So that was the start of the changing of my name.

“And then I used to be in a band, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes, and we acquired a three month job, and all of us modified our names. I assumed, rings, yeah, however Ringo cowboy, Ringo? Ringo Starkey does not actually work. But Ringo Starr, fabulous!”

Ringo was appearing on the talk show to promote his new country album, Look Up, and host Jimmy even gave him a cowboy hat with a Sergeant Pepper theme.

Ringo has been playing live shows with his new songs in Nashville and he also found time to discuss his recent gig with fellow Beatle Paul McCartney.

The pair reunited to play together on McCartney’s tour and delighted fans in London in December by playing Helter Skelter and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Ringo said: “It’s great. You know what can be great? The viewers beloved it. They simply like to see the 2 of us collectively. They nonetheless find it irresistible. “He decides the songs, it is his show, he said ‘these two’ and I said OK and we go do it.”
