Roy Jones Jr. blasts Jake Paul's fake outrage | MMA News

The Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis exhibition bout confronted an uphill battle from the second it was signed.

The exhibition bout was initially scheduled to happen at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Nov. 14, but the state of Georgia declined to host the struggle due to the weight discrepancy between the 2 fighters. Paul fought 65 kilos heavier than Davis in their earlier outings. In their press convention face-off, the dimensions distinction was apparent and unbelievable.

The struggle card was then moved to the Kaseya Center in Miami before Most Valuable Promotions and Netflix cancelled the event after a lawsuit was filed against Davis alleging home violence.

Paul launched a assertion after the event cancellation trashing Davis, calling him a ‘piece of rubbish’ and ‘unprofessional.’ Former 4 weight class world boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. wasn’t shopping for it and blasted Paul over what he noticed as fake outrage over the Davis struggle falling aside.

“I don’t really want to have much to say about that because they’re about to take it a bad way. All I’m going to say is this, Jake Paul knew what it was when he first signed to fight him. This ain’t the first time he had battery against a woman,” Jones told Fight Hub TV.

“He knew what it was when you first signed to fight him, so don’t get mad and cuss him out and talk bad about him now. You knew what it was when you signed up it. Come on, bro. You know what I’m saying? Let’s not do that,” continued Jones.

“Don’t do the dude like that. Know the dude is having a hard time in his life right now. Don’t just do him like that. You know what I mean? Because you knew exactly what he was when you signed him to fight the first time.”
