Russian Diplomat arrives in Washington DC for | Political News

Reports point out that a Russian diplomat has formally arrived in Washington, D.C. to allegedly converse with President Donald Trump and different officers about ending hostilities with Ukraine. Special Envoy of the President of Russia for investment and financial cooperation, Kirill A. Dmitriev, posted about his arrival in the U.S. Capitol on Thursday.

Dmitrev first introduced his go to to the U.S. when he retweeted a post from FinancialJuice, which learn “Trump confirms Russian envoy is in the US for talks.” The envoy then reposted it with a caption of the Russian flag, a handshake emoji and the American flag.

In a second post, Dmitrev posted a photograph of himself with the Washington Monument and White House in the background, together with the caption “Good weather in Washington DC.” Dmitrev’s Twitter exhibits that he wasted no time in the capital metropolis and spent time speaking to numerous information retailers, together with Fox News and CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio also touted that good things happened in the meeting by telling reporters that “None of it was threatening…It was more of an rationalization of ‘that is our timeline,’ and in some unspecified time in the future, it will likely be clear whether or not you need peace or you do not need peace.” He added, “That time is coming. It’s fairly short.”

Dmitrev’s meeting comes a few months after he dubbed a meeting between Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky as “historic.” The assembly gained headlines after the trio began attacking Zelensky earlier than finally throwing him out of the White House.
