Russia ought to revise its army doctrine to mandate the Kremlin’s use of nuclear weapons if attacked by a Western nation, according to a key Putin adviser.

Sergei Karaganov, dubbed “Professor Doomsday,” urged Putin that such a coverage shift would immediately halt NATO nations from offering army support to Ukraine. Russian management views NATO nations as complicit in supporting Ukraine during the battle.

Serving as a nuclear adviser to Putin, Karaganov argues the coverage would outcome in any European nation supporting Ukraine being “reduced to dust,” stories Daily Express UK.

He indicated Germany and Finland would face the same destiny if nuclear missiles have been stationed on their soil.

“We need changes to our nuclear and military doctrine,” he acknowledged.

“One of the forthcoming changes must be that Russia is obliged – and undertakes to – use nuclear weapons should a war be waged against it by countries that surpass it in terms of demographic, economic and scientific-technical potential.”

“In other words, this is not an option, but an obligation.”

He asserted this strategy will “prevent any wars.”

“We are currently deploying a new generation of strategic intercontinental ballistic missiles, each with a warhead yield of 750 kilotons – that is, 7.5 megatons in total.”

“A single missile of this type would be enough to reduce an average European country to dust.”

“So that it would never even cross anyone’s mind to attack Russian territory in any way….”

“I imagine they are not only super-intercontinental but can also strike much closer targets.”

“We have a sufficient number of them.”

“We simply need to make it clear to [the West] that any war games against Russia – or any war games at all – will lead to their destruction.”

Karaganov, a distinguished Russian political scientist and honorary chairman of Moscow’s Council on Foreign and Defence Policy, acknowledged: “If nuclear weapons were to spread across Europe, Russia would be obliged to undertake to destroy those countries in which such weapons appear, and especially those countries that have ever attacked Russia.”

He emphasised this applies “first and foremost” to Germany, which has “no right whatsoever to even speak of having the strongest army in the world.”

Should Germany pursue such standing, “it should cease to exist.”

“But I hope that Germany will come to its senses after all.”

New rules allow Finland to host nuclear weapons on its soil.

It will not be the last time

“Such a country has absolutely no right even to contemplate possessing nuclear weapons or deploying them on its territory,” he declared.

“We simply need to explain this to our neighbours so that they stop playing these games, because they have now brought people with the intellect of mice into positions of leadership.”

Finland, which shares an 833-mile border with Russia, has lifted a decades-old legal prohibition on deploying nuclear weapons on its soil, opening the door for allied nuclear arms to be stationed in the nation if needed for national or NATO protection.

Helsinki maintains it has no intention of internet hosting nuclear weapons during peacetime, clarifying the choice as bringing Finnish law into alignment with its new NATO membership and bolstering the alliance’s deterrence against Russia.

“Deploying nuclear weapons on Finnish territory, just as, indeed, Finland’s abandonment of its neutrality, is tantamount to suicide,” said Karaganov.

“In the event of a conflict, these countries would be the first to be destroyed.”
