Ryan Seacrest reveals shocking detail about Wheel | TV Shows
Ryan Seacrest has spilled on what it’s like to host Wheel of Fortune.
It’s been almost a year since the host joined the beloved game show and replaced Pat Sajak.
At first, he was dealt heavy criticism for his “awkward” on-air stage habits and huge blunders, but viewers believe he has finally “found his groove.” However, his comfortability with the show’s set-up could have been delayed a even further if he didn’t get a heads up years ago.
While chatting with The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan shockingly admitted he was asked to take over way before he stepped on that stage last September.
He revealed, “There were conversations — actually, years ago — about me doing this show, and I expressed interest even back then.”
“I have a lot fun with the job, but I take the responsibility very seriously,” he concluded.
Seacrest not only hosts Wheel of Fortune but he also runs a few other projects like his radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest and American Idol.
He might be newer to the ABC game show but he’s been working on reality competition series American Idol since 2002, when Kelly Clarkson won the first ever season. While he does American Idol solo now, he originally co-hosted with Brian Dunkleman.
According to Screen Rant, the two hosts’ dynamic wasn’t the best and they almost got physical after a live taping of one of the shows.
Luckily, his relationship with Vanna is entirely different. When previously speaking to People, he gushed over her, saying: “She’s so super generous and sweet and kind.”
