The California desert is in the news recently.
On Tuesday, I wrote about how LA Port Police and other law enforcement businesses took down a huge alleged Sinaloa cartel meth operation out in the center of nowhere, and arrested three suspected gangbangers.
On Wednesday, a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy, described as a detective in some studies, was shot in the decrease rib space while serving a search warrant in the high desert space of the Antelope Valley, just north of Los Angeles.
Since he was shot in Los Angeles County, the LA County Sheriff’s Department is conducting the investigation.
He survived, but the gunman didn’t:

The detective was struck by gunfire at about 3:15 p.m. close to East Avenue R and a hundred and thirtieth Street in Littlerock, just east of Palmdale.

Breaking Bad: LA Port Police Bust Huge Alleged Sinaloa Cartel Meth Operation in CA Desert
It’s unclear what led to the taking pictures or what the extent of the deputy’s accidents is, but he is getting treatment.
The wounded detective was airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment. Officials haven’t launched the detective’s identification or disclosed the extent of the accidents — but did reveal in an night news convention that he was shot in the decrease ribcage.
The particular person accused of opening fire died at the scene, though authorities haven’t said how the suspect died or launched their identification.
Television news helicopters captured deputies surrounding the crime scene with yellow tape as investigators swarmed the rural neighborhood. Additional law enforcement officers gathered exterior Antelope Valley Hospital as the injured detective was handled.

Around 3 p.m. today, detectives have been executing the warrant close to Avenue R and a hundred and thirtieth Street East when gunfire erupted. The detective was hit, transported to a hospital, and is in secure condition. The grownup male suspect was killed at the scene.
LASD Homicide is helping with the investigation. No other accidents reported.
