Sanders Finds an Acorn – Praises Trump, Slams

We’ve had ample trigger to criticize Senator Bernie Sanders (Bolshevik-VT) in the past. His political opinions are principally proper out of Marx and Lenin. “So long as we have nation-states, you’ve got to have borders,” Sanders said. “If you don’t have any borders, then you don’t have a nation.” 

He added pointedly, “Trump did a better job. I don’t like Trump, you understand, but we must always have a secure border, and it ain’t that onerous to do.”

But only a few short years in the past, the Bern was singing a different tune:

During a March 2020 Fox News city corridor, Sanders said he “would not close the borders” even amid the COVID-19 pandemic, calling border shutdowns “xenophobic.”

In January 2019, as Trump in his first time period as president made a prime-time case that a border disaster required pressing motion, Sanders downplayed the state of affairs, saying at the time “we don’t need to create artificial crises” at the border.

Of course, the disaster at the border was something but synthetic. And socialists, particularly outdated Bolsheviks like Bernie Sanders, aren’t precisely famed for their mental consistency. But the Biden immigration failures have develop into such an apparent mess that not even Bernie can deny it anymore. And, conversely, President Trump’s shutdown of the border has been such an apparent success that again, not even Bernie can deny it anymore. So now even Bernie Sanders, who has been wandering the wilds of America’s loony left for years, has to admit that the Trump border shutdown is working.

Of course, ask him again in a 12 months, and chances are you’ll get a very different reply.

One key factor to keep in mind about these people: It’s all about The Side. Bernie Sanders can admit the plain right here because there’s not an lively presidential election going on. When the 2028 cycle begins up, and the Democrat entrance-runners start lining up to call Trump a racist, fascist, and a big doody-head over his border insurance policies, watch for Bernie to toe the road of a celebration he is not even a member of to reverse course on this issue yet again.
