Scotty McCreery still a huge fan of American | TV Shows

Scotty McCreery said he is “still a huge fan” of American Idol 14 years after winning the show.

The 31-year-old was crowned the Season 10 winner in 2011, after wowing the viewers and the judge’s panel which included Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

But Scotty confessed that he and his wife, Gabi Dugal, still watch the show regularly, as he admitted, “I reminisce all the time.”

The Five More Minutes singer said he recently found himself looking over old emails that detailed his time on American Idol.

“Last night, I had to go to my secondary email to look for an order that was coming through, and I said, ‘Lemme click the last button and see what I was sending emails [about] back in the day,'” he told US Weekly.

He said of little Avery, “He’s already two and a half and running around and he’s talking a mile a minute. It’s just so fun watching him grow. Having two is gonna be insane.”

Scotty hit the headlines earlier this year when he took an unexpected fall on stage during a recent performance. The country singer, who was opening for Kane Brown, shared the moment with fans on social media.

In a clip, Scotty, who is best known for his hit Fall of Summer, is seen slipping and hitting the stage floor. But instead of staying down, he quickly bounced back up and reassured the crowd with a hand gesture.

“Who put that there?” he joked, drawing laughs from the audience. Fans reacted to the fall on social media, with one saying, “Great recovery! So glad you are ok. I love how you keep it real.”

“Highlight of the night was Scotty getting back up, c’mon now,” another wrote. A third chimed in, writing, “I was at that show! You played it so cool though and bounced right back! A true champ!”

“That was an iconic moment. You played it off so well!!!!!” a final fan wrote, labeling the moment as iconic.
