Sean Hannity faces backlash over petty jab at | TV Shows

Sean Hannity focused Democratic Pennsylvania State Representative Chris Rabb during his Fox News broadcast, a transfer that drew criticism from conservatives.

On the August 6 version of Hannity, the conservative host initially mentioned controversial political commentator Hasan Piker, 35. He talked about that Piker had endorsed and campaigned alongside Democratic Pennsylvania State Representative Chris Rabb, 56. Hannity then ridiculed the consultant, who had appeared as a visitor on his show the evening before.

During his look on Hannity’s program on August 5, Rabb mistakenly addressed the host as “Scott,” which isn’t his identify. This got here after Vice President Vance made a snarky comment about the Michigan major, which went for Abdul El-Sayed.

Hannity acknowledged, “Now another one of Piker’s good friends, socialist congressional candidate Chris Rabb. Well, he was on the program last night. He has the bluest district in the country.

He jabbed at his former guest, “And uh, he tried to discuss in circles and pretended not to know what show he was on, while by chance revealing his true beliefs.”

Viewers flocked to social media to condemn Hannity’s remarks, suggesting he remained irritated about being called the incorrect name.

One person commented, “So they’ll all mispronounce Mamdani and Darializa’s names endlessly on objective, but one particular person cannot call him Scott? Sooo petty, my god.”

Another person chimed in, “It could be hilarious if other friends began calling him Scott!”

A third commenter observed, “The manner this clearly rattled him is sensible. What an unimaginable ego read Chris had on Hannity!”

Despite the backlash, Hannity had at least one defender who remarked, “He must be salty. How would you prefer it if somebody called you one thing else?”

On August 6, Rabb joined the Fox News program as a guest to discuss with Hannity the growing influence of socialism within his own Democratic Party, reports the Irish Star.

The pair were originally scheduled to address the emergence of liberal socialism.

However, Hannity didn’t anticipate needing to correct his guest about his well-known name.

“Chris Rabb joins us now,” Hannity began the segment, adding, “Chris, admire you coming. Let me just go through.

“My pleasure,” Rabb responded, mistakenly addressing him as, “Thank you, Scott.”

Upon noticing the error, Hannity hesitated momentarily before setting the file straight.

The host appeared puzzled as he acknowledged, “Uhhhh, my name is Sean. My name is not Scott. But that’s okay.”

Rabb’s eyes widened as he muttered, “Apologies.”

The Pennsylvania consultant could not suppress his own amusement and laughed at his blunder.

Following Rabb’s uncomfortable interview, Hannity resumed his duties, talking with White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller, 40, and Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, 56.
