Sean O'Malley reveals his top matches for UFC | MMA News
Over Fourth of July weekend, president Donald Trump announced plans to host a UFC event on the White House grounds on Independence Day 2026.
“Every one of our national parks, battlefields and historic sites are going to have special events in honor of America 250, and I even think we’re going to have a UFC fight,” Trump said on July 3.
“We’re going to have a UFC fight, think of this, on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there. We’re going to build a little, we’re not, Dana’s [White] going to do it. Dana’s great. One of a kind,” continued Trump.
UFC CEO Dana White and employees traveled to the White House to work out the logistics and a number of fighters have requested to compete on the historic combat card.
Former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley revealed who he’d enlist to combat at the White House if he had been the matchmaker.
“If we get to pick whatever, Conor [McGregor]. Conor for sure. I mean, sh*t, Conor versus Ilia [Topuria] would probably be the top one,” O’Malley not too long ago said on the Overdogs Podcast.
“Izzy [Israel Adesanya] versus [Sean] Strickland 2. I would like to see that. I think that would be a banger up there. [Jon] Jones versus [Tom] Aspinall. The one everyone wants to see,” O’Malley continued. “Max Holloway. Max Holloway versus f**king anybody. He’s so fun to watch.
“I feel you’ve got obtained to do America versus Russia, or just like Americans versus another person. Colby [Covington] versus Ian Garry.”

If O’Malley ends up getting the call to fight at the White House, he has some potential opponents in mind.
“Me versus Cory [Sandhagen] is form of just like the more – I imply me versus Petr [Yan] 2, I really feel like that can be a banger. Me versus Cory. Me versus Merab [Dvalishvili] 3. No. I’m just kidding,” he said.
