Sean, whose well-known father was murdered in December 1980, when he was 5 years outdated, continued: “It seems like a privilege, as his son, to be able to give back.
“He gave the world a lot, and he gave me a lot, and I simply really feel actually honored to have the ability to do justice by him if I can.”
Sean has certainly taken after his famous parents’ musical ways.
Over the course of his career, he released three solo albums, 1998’s Into the Sun, 2006’s Friendly Fire and 2024’s Asterisms, as well as various projects with other bands.
At the 2025 Grammys, Sean won alongside Simon Hilton in the best boxed or special limited edition package category for the expanded version of his father’s third solo studio album, Mind Games, originally released in October 1973.

When questioned if he has any plans to re-release more of his father’s past projects, Sean revealed that he does.
“Simon and I are engaged on the One to One live performance, which was John and Yoko’s final live performance in Madison Square Garden,” he gushed, added: “We’re engaged on repackaging that, remixing it, and we have a entire movie coming with it.”
“It’s tremendous cool,” Sean added of the August 1972 concert.
“They have been all decked out in camouflage … and they regarded like wild radical leftists. It was actually a cool show.”
