Silent Witness fans say same thing as show suffers | UK News
Fans of BBC‘s Silent Witness had been left scratching their heads as the show underwent a last minute shake-up altering the order of the episodes. The long operating crime drama, which is at the moment on it is twenty ninth season, has been pressured to transfer a number of of the deliberate circumstances around this season as the crimes featured in them coincidentally mirrored real life occasions.
This weeks episodes had already had their broadcast days modified from their Monday and Tuesday slot on BBC One to the Tuesday and Wednesday. Just before broadcast it was announced there was another change of episode leaving viewers questioning what the operating order was truly supposed to be. Taking to X one wrote: “Does anyone actually know which order the episodes are actually supposed to run in because I assumed this one was just swapped out for Creekwood last week but seems to make more sense as the first episode of the series before Alice Hill.” Another fan added: “So we can all agree this was originally meant to be episode one, right.”
“So is this episode about something that was too controversial to be broadcast when the first chronological episode of this series was shown,” a third requested.
A fourth chimed in: “Didn’t realise last weeks was a change of episode too lol.”(sic). A fifth shared: “Ooh change of episode is it.”
Meanwhile a sixth opined: “This was very clearly meant to be the first episode of this series. I understand why last week’s was the wrong way around but this one doesn’t make sense to have been delayed.”
While a sequence of the drama, which stars Emilia Fox and David Cave, sometimes runs for around eight episodes about the lives of the forensics staff they’re break up into two components of the same tales following different crimes.
