The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art announced the debut of Skywalker Grill Wednesday, an out-of-this-world restaurant impressed by the essence of George Lucas’ inventive office Skywalker Ranch.

The long-awaited museum, alongside the Grill, will open its doorways next month to the public — artwork fans, cinephiles and Star Wars fanatics alike have been anticipating the grand opening of the museum since an official unveiling date was announced in November 2025.
The menu will incorporate locally-grown ingredients to make up its basic American fare. Some choices embrace a Skywalker Ranch Wagyu burger, Dungeness crab desserts, lobster corn canines, house-made pastas, seasonal salads and communal appetizers.

If you’re overthinking your outfit, the institution encourages patrons to, “come as you are” and “stay for the experience,” and says “casual attire” and even “fan-inspired looks” work for the event.
The Lucas Museum was co-founded by Lucas himself alongside outstanding businesswoman Mellody Hobson, and explores visible storytelling in all of its elements. The South LA museum, situated in Exposition Park, also showcases Lucas’ own assortment of illustrations, artworks, and movie artifacts.
The huge new museum will function two theaters, movie screenings, and the public debut of a scrapped animated “Star Wars” comedy sequence “Star Wars: Detours,” developed by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich.
The museum, including Skywalker Grill, will open its doorways September 22 and is now accepting reservations via Resy.
