SNL exec told Taylor Swift I dont negotiate with | TV Shows
It seems a certain Saturday Night Live producer isn’t a Swiftie as he called the singer a “terrorist.”
Recently, Taylor Swift has been getting jibes left and right from top figures like Elon Musk and President Donald Trump, who mocked the singer for getting booed at Super Bowl LIX.
While the harsh remarks have been more frequent, the Blank Space singer’s time in Hollywood has been filled with people poking fun at her and her music.
Ten years ago, Saturday Night Live used Swift’s 2014 hit single Bad Blood to produce a parody. The skit starred Tina Fey, Amy Schumer and Amy Poehler.
While the sketch was a massive hit at the time, it originally wasn’t to the liking of Swift and she went so far to reach out to producer Lorne Michaels beforehand.
A third added: “This went way too hard for a silly sketch, love it.”
One fan even believed it was better than the original song, stating: “1000x improvement on Bad Blood! I hated it for showing off social connections and pushing toxic ideas of power, influence, & social standing. This is more of a celebration of the everyday we need to get by. A real squad — the nannies, the random kindness of strangers, gynecologists, all sorts.”
Despite her initial thoughts, Swift was pleased by the final skit as well. A week after the show aired, she sent Michaels a bouquet of flowers with a note that said: “I hope there’s no bad blood.”
Since then, she has returned to Saturday Night Live on three occasions as a musical guest.
