SNL slammed by MAGA over ‘disgusting’ | TV Shows

The skit sees Trump (James Austin Johnson), Vance (Bowen Yang), Zelensky (Mikey Day) and Secretary of State Marco Rubio (Marcello Hernandez) as the President and Vice President repeatedly attack Zelensky and even accuse him of dressing disrespectfully.

After Trump takes a shot at Zelensky about showing up in a T-shirt and jeans like a ‘garbage person”, Mike Myers runs into the scene wearing a black tshirt, jacket and jeans and wielding a chainsaw as he portrays Musk.

His portrayal of Musk saw him making awkward gestures and moves, being praised for his outfit, referencing the controversial work of DOGE, and bring in one of his employees as they announce a new (false) government initiative known as the Department of Undoing Child Healthcare and Education–which they called DOUCHE.

However, the skit was heavily criticized by the MAGA faithful, who found it “classless” and “unfunny.”

“This is disgusting, and you all should be ashamed of yourselves,” one person wrote on X. “Can we find out who is funding the ‘Saturday Night Live?’”

“‘SNL’ is out of touch with their audience, really sad, they used to be so funny,” another said.

“So unfunny. Could’ve had a tremendous skit but ended up so boring and just a bunch of trash. I miss ‘SNL’ of the 90s. They would’ve knocked it out of the park,” a third added.

“I’m watching and damn, so far, nothing has been even remotely funny. And I didn’t see much talent in the musical talent either,” a fourth shared.
