South Park episode ripped from air just days after | TV Shows
South Park has just dropped a major announcement about new episodes of the hit sequence, coming just days after the homicide of Charlie Kirk.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the show’s creators, admitted it was ‘on them’ that the deliberate episode for September 17 wouldn’t go forward any longer as they thanked followers for their endurance.
Their statements said, “Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don’t get it done. This one’s on us. We didn’t get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!”
The announcement came after the previous week’s scheduled episode was also pulled from going live, which was set to air the evening of September 10.
Earlier that day, conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assasinated while giving a speech at Utah Valley University. Kirk was the founder of Turning Point USA, a non-profit organization that promotes conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses.
