Stephen Colbert made it clear on his latest episode of The Late Show that he was far from impressed with President Donald Trump’s latest accomplishment.
The 61-year-old tv host wasted no time mocking Trump, 79, was awarded the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at the World Cup draw in Washington, D.C., on December 5. Before Stephen lit into Trump, he confirmed a clip on-air of FIFA President Gianna Infantino presenting the POTUS with the prize.
“Call me a Boomer, but these participation trophies have gone too far,” the media character shared on his CBS program after the clip ended.
He then started teasing how Infantino spoke to Trump when he offered him with the FIFA Peace Prize, sparking appreciable controversy in the method.
Stephen additional quipped, “Here is also Mr. President, Here’s your trophy, there is also a medallion. There is also a FIFA piece of ribbon. A macaroni necklace, and a lapel sticker that says, ‘Ask about my peace prize…”
