Taylor Swift followers are beginning to notice her new album release date correlates with another special day in Hollywood.
The Grammy Award-winning singer has formally set Oct. 3 as the release date for her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl. On Wednesday night time, she wrote to X, previously Twitter, “And, baby, that’s show business for you. New album, The Life of a Showgirl. Out October 3 Album Producers: Max Martin, Shellback, and Taylor Swift.”
After relishing in the first look at the album cowl and setlist, followers had observed the date had already been taken by the hit 2004 comedy movie Mean Girls, which stars Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.
Mean Girls Day is well known yearly on Oct. 3. The day was chosen based on a line from the film where Cady Heron, Lindsay’s character, is requested by her crush Aaron Samuels, portrayed by Jonathan Bennett, what day it’s. She replied, “It’s October 3rd.”
Now, the film’s enthusiasts use that date to commemorate the iconic film by wearing pink, quoting different scenes and engaging in related activities.

One fan also pointed out how the correlation relates to Sabrina’s Broadway debut in the Mean Girls musical in March of 2020. They wrote, “sabrina being in mean girls on bway, the release date being oct 3, ugh it really is my new favourite day.”
