Ted Cruz warns of disaster in midterms after | Political News

“The left, they’re energized, they’re angry. Democrats are out-racing Republicans right now 3/1, 4/1… it is dangerous.

He continued, “The left showed up in big numbers last night, and common sense conservatives did not. If that happens a year from now, we face disaster in the midterms.”

Sean Hannity, on the other hand, was fast to comment that he didn’t “feel as dire” as Cruz relating to the state of affairs.

“We need reflection, introspection, course correction,” Hannity said, “and of course, the president’s laid the foundation for our economy to shift. I believe that will happen sooner rather than later, and when it does, there’ll be a big story to tell there out of all the peace deals we’ve put together. I’m pretty confident with that.”

While both males are distinguished conservative figures, they appeared to have barely differing views when it got here to the implications of the latest Democratic wins for the Republicans.

Cruz also labelled the incoming New York City Democrat mayor, Zohran Mamdani, a “jihadist” in the interview, citing the win as “terrible for America”.

“We have an actual communist jihadist,” he said, “It’s important to note, Mamdani is not a socialist. He is a full-on communist. He has called for seizing the means of production in our economy. He is a Marxist. That is profoundly dangerous.

“And look, I know there are some Republicans who are saying, ‘Well, gosh, this’ll be good politically because he’ll be the face of the Democratic party.’ I think it’s terrible for America. I think New York is the largest city in America; it is the financial capital of the world and the media capital of the world. And New York, we are going to see New Yorkers die.”

The proper has been reacting to the news that New York City has elected its youngest ever, first muslim Democrat mayor this week. Zohran Mamdani secured victory on Tuesday evening, with over 1 million votes in his favor.

Before the elections, Ted Cruz warned his followers: “From New York City to Caracas to Moscow, communism inevitably leads to violence, poverty, and decay. New Yorkers would be wise to reject it tonight.”

In an earlier dialog with Hannity on Fox News, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said, “It’s shooting yourself in the foot by New York City voters. This is a guy who does embrace Marxist economics.”
