Tennessee audiences at Grand Ole Opry moved to…

Carrie Underwood moved the gang at the one hundredth anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry on Wednesday evening. 

Underwood took the stage at the occasion, titled Opry 100: A Live Celebration, to honor Randy Travis, who welcomed her to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry 17 years in the past in 2008.

Underwood kicked off her tribute to Travis by sharing a story about her childhood.

She stated that her sister had a cassette tape of Travis’ and as soon as she received her arms on it, she “never” gave it back to her.

Five years after that, Travis had a stroke that made him almost unable to sing.

On Wednesday evening, Underwood carried out Travis’ “Three Wooden Crosses” and “Forever and Ever, Amen.”

At the top of “Forever and Ever, Amen,” Underwood walked over to Travis within the crowd and gave him the microphone to sing the closing, “Amen,” which moved the gang to tears. 

“Randy Travis everybody,” Underwood stated, earlier than hugging the nation music legend.

The crowd instantly stood to their toes and gave Underwood and Travis a standing ovation.

The Grand Ole Opry shared a post about Travis inducting Underwood into the household 17 years in the past.
