A new map shows every strike by the US, Israel and Iran during the Middle East struggle as of Monday morning.

Red dots mark the injury and death tolls in areas of Iran hit by the U.S. and Israel, while yellow dots show targets struck by Iran and ensuing casualties. The latter contains Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and Bahrain.

In asserting the initial strikes, Trump referred to the menace posed by Iran’s nuclear and missile applications. But he also listed numerous grievances courting back to Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 1979 and urged Iranians to “take over” their authorities. The Iranian Red Crescent Society has said that the U.S.-Israeli operation has killed at least 555 people.

Iran has responded by launching missiles and drones across the Middle East, also including ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Several locations were hit by Iranian missiles in Israel, killing 11 people.

The Iranian-backed Hezbollah militant group also targeted Israel, which responded with strikes on Lebanon, killing more than two dozen people. Meanwhile, four American troops have been killed, and three people were reported killed in the United Arab Emirates, and one each in Kuwait and Bahrain.

In Kuwait City, fire and smoke rose from inside the U.S. Embassy compound, shortly after the U.S. issued a warning to Americans to take cover and stay away from the complex. There were no immediate reports on damage or casualties.

Several ships have been attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf through which a fifth of all oil trade passes and where Iran has threatened attacks.

Reza Najafi, Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency, told reporters that airstrikes targeted the Natanz nuclear enrichment site on Sunday.

“Their justification that Iran wants to develop nuclear weapons is simply a big lie,” he said.

On Monday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the U.S. is not engaged in a nation-building effort in Iran, and there is a clear mission. “This is not Iraq. This is not endless,” Hegseth said. He didn’t clarify the operation’s ultimate goals, how long it might last, or what success would look like.

U.S. President Donald Trump told The New York Times late on Sunday that he intends to continue U.S. strikes on Iran for at least “four to five weeks.” Trump told ABC News his administration has a few possible candidates in mind to take over the country, but they were killed in the initial waves of strikes.

It’s not completely clear what the U.S. objectives are.
