Alan Carr has already demonstrated his brilliance in the BBC’s inaugural collection of The Celebrity Traitors.

The entertainer and tv icon options amongst the celebrities collaborating in Claudia Winkleman‘s lethal sport show, alongside personalities such as Jonathan Ross, Charlotte Church, Cat Burns, Kate Garraway, Stephen Fry and Joe Wilkinson.

Thus far, Alan – chosen with Jonathan and Cat to serve as one of the Traitors – has justified every pound of his reported £40,000 cost, producing viral-worthy scenes beneath his Traitors hood.

Within moments, he appeared prepared to break, chuckling immediately after Claudia interrogated him about being a Traitor and practically crumbling before eliminating his pricey good friend Paloma Faith with the supreme act of treachery.

At one second, Alan even declared he can be “worse than Linda”, who infamously uncovered herself as a Traitor with a single look when Claudia confronted the third season Traitors at the roundtable, experiences the Daily Record.

Following his scene-stealing efficiency, viewers have been frantically pleading for his comedy programme Chatty Man to make a comeback.

The Bafta-winning programme aired from 2009 across 16 collection until 2016, that includes quite a few superstar guests and comedy sketches. But why did it end?

Why was Alan Carr’s Chatty Man cancelled?

At the time of its cancellation, it was reported that Alan’s show failed to entice viewers while pitted against Graham Norton and Jonathan Ross.

He told The Sun: “I just think that the art of the chat show has evolved unless you can get the amazing guests all the time that Norton gets.

“Three company a week and Channel 4, God love ’em, prolonged it to 30 episodes -that’s 90 company who are related and people have an interest in, up against the wonderful Norton and Jonathan Ross.”

Alan also said that scheduling the show on Thursday nights was “not the best transfer”, saying it “appears like a get together show” for Fridays, but insisted he was proud of what he’d achieved.

“I’ve gone as far as I can with Chatty Man. Won a Bafta, gained two NTAs,” he said.

Now, fans are begging for the return of Chatty Man after watching Alan’s antics on The Celebrity Traitors.

One wrote on X: “Just carry back Chatty Man once and for all. Alan Carr is just hysterical and just about close to a national treasure.”

Another said: “I want they introduced back Chatty Man. Alan Carr is just too good to be sitting in the sidelines.”

Someone else wrote: “Obsessed with Alan being a traitor. He’s hilarious please carry back Chatty Man was a great show!”

Ahead of taking part in The Celebrity Traitors, Alan confessed viewers would see a different side to him.

He revealed: “There shall be a different facet to me. I’ll have to adapt; no comedy, it is one of those reveals where you may have to form shift. You have to chat to people you would not usually chat with just to see if they’re hiding something

“I don’t think it’s a case of how good you are at being a Traitor or a Faithful. It’s how you adapt and how you draw on your social skills.

“I’ve labored in a call centre where I had to deal with one factor after another, so I believe my call centre abilities are going to come in useful!”
