The Mike Johnson Bulldozer Steamrolls Schumer

One of the issues I bear in mind listening to a lot from GOP voters in the years prior to Donald Trump taking workplace the first time was how they have been drained of listening to a lot of discuss and seeing little or no in the way in which of motion that produced significant outcomes.

As RedState has reported, GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-04) has been significantly efficient in this regard, taking wrecking balls to Democrat speaking factors about the Schumer Shutdown actually every day since it began, mentioning each time that the explanation we’re in the state of affairs we’re in today is because of Democrats who are beholden to their radical leftist base.

On Monday, Johnson did it again, mowing down every Democrat speaking level and calling them “the most extreme [examples] of gaslighting in the history of American politics,” which is saying a lot contemplating how often we see gaslighting from the left and their media allies.

Most notably, Johnson reiterated how NYC Democrat Socialist mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani’s ascension to the throne in New York politics has induced Democrat leaders in the House and Senate, both of whom are from New York, to cower in worry instead of doing the fitting factor and getting their respective caucuses to come to the desk:

Because the worry that Mamdani and all that he represents can be risen to energy, that he’ll elected the mayor of America’s largest metropolis, the once cradle of capitalism, that we’re going have a Marxist, a communist, working the most important metropolis. Now this terrifies the institution previous guard Democrats in Washington, and the leaders of both chambers are among those most terrified. They’re both from New York. Leader Hakeem Jeffries is the Democrat in the House, and Leader Schumer in the Senate. They’re both from New York, and they’re terrified. You’ve watched their actions rigorously. Many of you haven’t reported on it enough.

Poor Hakeem Jeffries had to in the end, finally, he was compelled to endorse Mamdani, and he is terrified that he now owns the outcomes of that. Chuck Schumer’s been dancing around the issue, but he is aware of he is darned if he does, darned if he would not. They’re both terrified, and so that is the worry. This is a fact, and it’s best to print it this method. Schumer and Jeffries, and their colleagues, worry political retribution from the Far-Left activists in their celebration more than they worry the results of protecting the federal government closed for weeks on end. 

They worry that personally, for their own political future, and they care more about that than they care about SNAP advantages flowing to hungry households, about air visitors controllers being paid so they’ll keep the skies secure, border patrol, troops, and all the remaining. It pales in comparability, and this is a simple abstract that is a simple fact. It is extremism on the Left that is the direct trigger of American struggling proper now.

And just to display how Johnson’s message is getting through even with some in the notoriously Democrat-compliant press, take a look at these two segments from GWN, for occasion, where the anchor herself is now placing the onus on Democrats to reopen the federal government:

There’s not a lot of something Johnson can do proper now, action-wise, to disgrace Democrats into coming to the desk. But he has the facility of phrases (and the info) in his nook, and if polls and the media more and more skewering Democrats are dependable indicators, the message is certainly resonating in the court of public opinion.
