The pair planned to wed in 2020, but had their plans upended by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

They eventually became husband and wife in 2022.

Prior to their wedding, he also showed his support and devotion to Hyland as she battled health issues, including a second kidney transplant in September 2017, as part of her lifelong battle with kidney dysplasia.

“He’s seen me at my worst,” she said at the time. “He was there through all of that. I think that’s why I feel the most beautiful in his eyes, because he still finds me beautiful after seeing all that.”
