The View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin received emotional while revealing that her three-month-old child son has already confronted a terrifying health scare.

On Monday, May 4, during an look on the ABC speak show‘s podcast, Behind the Table, President Donald Trump‘s former assistant, 36, revealed that her son, Justin Griffin Jr., just lately underwent “major surgery.” Farah Griffin and her husband, Justin Griffin, welcomed their toddler in February.

After exposing the news, the TV persona teared up and said she wasn’t going to “get into the details” because she feared she’d flip “into a puddle talking about it.” This comes after followers of The View begged Farah Griffin to stop “useless talk.”

Farah Griffin told View government producer Brian Teta, “My son ended up needing a major operation. I’m actually not going to get into the details, only because I will just turn into a puddle talking about it.”

She added, “But he had to get a surgery this weekend. So, we spent the weekend in the ICU with him.”

Usually, Farah Griffin would’ve at least told co-host Sara Haines, too, “just to have somebody – like if something was going on in my personal life that was weighing on me, but I felt like incapacitated,” she expressed.

“Last week, [I] was going through the motions and just in prayer knowing that he had this procedure ahead of him,” the TV co-host continued.

“Thank the Lord, it went beyond well,” Farah Griffin continued, including that she was informed by Justin’s doctor that he’s “doing even better than expected” and “hitting every milestone.”

She added, “He’s going to be great. He’ll never know in his life other than that we told him that he had this. There’ll never be signs or anything.”

The new mom said it was most likely the toughest factor she’d ever been through, as she was compelled to acknowledge that “at times, I don’t have all the answers on how to care for him.”

“You love them with every fiber of your being. You love them more than you could possibly love yourself,” Farah Griffin said of being a mom.

“So, to watch a baby be helpless but also have to entrust him into someone else’s hands took every amount of strength that I have just to get through.”

She went on to say that she discovered two big classes from the expertise. Farah Griffin said she was “in awe” of her son’s medical staff and realized how exhausting they had been working to deal with him.

She also realized that who you marry is absolutely important, as she’s been relying on her husband to get through the robust expertise.

Now that the surgical procedure is over, the star said, “He’s better, literally less than 24 hours, 12 hours after the surgery. He’s smiling, flirting with the nurses. He’s totally his father’s son.”

“I came in at 3 in the morning. I’d gotten up from the little cot my husband and I were sleeping on together, go to the bathroom and come back, and he saw. He caught my eyes because he was awake and he giggled, and I was like, ‘It’s the happiest moment of my life,'” continued Farah Griffin.

“He’s ok, he recognizes mama. And so I mean, he’s really just a little baby right now. He’s not even 3 months yet.”

Farah Griffin revealed her being pregnant during an October section on The View. In an interview with People at the time, the previous White House communications director opened up about her infertility struggles.

She endured 5 rounds of in vitro fertilization, or IVF, treatment and an endometriosis diagnosis.

“Both Justin and I just feel so grateful that we were in the position that we were even able to do that many rounds of IVF,” Farah Griffin told the outlet. “I consider it a miracle of science and just such a wonderful thing that we’ve gotten to where we are now.”
