On the latest episode of The View, Joy Behar opened up about her current health struggles as she has been experiencing dizziness that’s been impacting her day-to-day life.
During the Monday, July 6 episode of The View, the women gathered around to talk about all the most urgent topics of the day, and dished on their own personal Fourth of July weekends. But while they went around the desk discussing their holidays, Joy revealed that she spent the weekend struggling from dizziness and present process acupuncture therapy in an attempt to ease her symptoms.
Opening up about her health points, the 83-year-old comic said, “I got acupuncture because I’m dizzy. I walk, and I’m dizzy. Has anyone noticed I walk like I’m drunk?” This comes as Joy was not too long ago compelled to insist that she’s “not in love” with Vice President J.D. Vance.
Her co-host, Alyssa Farah Griffin, then chimed in, “Yeah, you’re escorted sometimes to your seat.” To which Joy confirmed, “Yeah, so I don’t know what it is.”
She then jokingly added, “Between the Botox, Ozempic, and the acupuncture, I’m more full of needles than a drug addict.”
Joy Behar says there’s one thing really flawed with her that results how she walks: “Has anyone noticed I walk like I’m drunk?”

Sunny Hostin then requested, “But did it help? Did it feel good?”
To which Joy explained, “Well you have to do it like 10 times and I only did it once.”
After Joy’s admission, many followers of the show took to X, sharing their well-wishes and their own experiences with struggling from dizziness. One viewer posted, “#theview You have to learn to live with it @JoyVBehar, I’ve had vertigo for more than 30 years.”
Another particular person added, “Me too for the last 20 yrs. She needs to figure out if it’s dizziness or actually vertigo bc as you know they’re very different. My vertigo is from BPPV. It’s very common, but hard to treat. It comes & goes for me.”
While a third viewer chimed in, “My Irish grandmother had that same affliction.”

And another person instructed, “She’s in her eighties, maybe she should retire and rest.”
Over the years, Joy has very occasionally missed an episode of The View due to sicknesses and has never opened up about any earlier health points. Despite being in her 80’s, Joy is still very energetic and healthy, often figuring out and collaborating in Pilates lessons during her time off.
The last time Joy opened up about her health on The View was when she suffered an surprising foot injury in November of 2025, which compelled her to miss out on filming six episodes.
At the time, she explained, “I dropped my iPad on my foot, and I broke my toe. And they put the toes together because it’s broken, and it’s very, very, very painful. I do not recommend you dropping anything on your toes.”
