The View teases show return for September

The View’s Whoopi Goldberg had a brutal six-word put-down of President Donald Trump’s latest slur.

During the Wednesday, December 10, episode of the ABC speak show, the co-hosts mentioned the 79-year-old Commander-in-Chief‘s use of a slur aimed at what he called “hell-hole third-world countries,” which he once denied utilizing.

The president made his remarks while speaking about placing a pause on migration from international locations like Afghanistan and Haiti, international locations he called “s—holes,” during his speech at a rally in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, on December 9. However, the 70-year-old Hollywood star clapped back with a assertion of her own: “They don’t want to come here.”

“So, as you know, You-Know-Who held a rally in Pennsylvania last night where he renewed his attacks on some unusual targets and boasted about using an ethnic slur that he’s denied using in the past,” Goldberg said as she launched into the show’s Hot Topics, before taking part in a clip of Trump’s speech at the rally.

“I love this Ilhan Omar, whatever the hell her name is, with the little turban. I love her – She’s here illegally. She should get the hell out, throw her the hell out. She does nothing but complain,” Trump said before another clip was performed of him saying, “I’ve also announced a permanent pause on third-world migration, including from hell-holes like Afghanistan, Haiti, Somalia, and many other countries.”

Another clip confirmed Trump boasting about his use of an ethnic slur he denied utilizing, “We had a meeting, and I said, ‘Why is it we only take people from s—hole countries?’ Right? Why can’t we have some people from Norway, Sweden, just a few?”

Once the clip completed, Goldberg took a pause before saying, “Well, they see you as the president, and they don’t want to come here. That’s why.” The viewers and Goldberg’s co-hosts laughed.

Joy Behar added, “I have a great idea, I have a real good idea. Why doesn’t he go to Norway and stay there? He loves it so much!”

Goldberg replied, “They won’t let him in. They will not let him in,” to which Behar said, “That’s true. I don’t think they will.”

The comic continued, “They won’t let him in. And when you heard him finally say out loud – I don’t know why this is a shock to people because he’s been saying this stuff for ages, you know, and to be perfectly clear, Congresswoman Omar is a naturalized U.S. citizen, okay?

“So all the parents there that had been waving and yelling, she has every proper to be right here. She got here right here the way in which you say you need people to come right here.”

Goldberg concluded, “So, you’ve to acknowledge when people do it the correct manner. You keep saying you need it carried out this manner, and when it is carried out this manner, this is how you speak about people. This is how you speak about American residents.”

Sara Haines added, “Well, I kinda miss the great outdated days where people just knew how to disagree on a coverage and ideology in authorities, because it isn’t a shock he would not like her politics.

“She’s one of the most progressive members in Congress… But it’s ignorance that fuels him. He fearmongers. And so what he does is rather than selling an idea of politics or the best solutions for this country, he only knows how to play off people’s fears.”

Trump admitted Tuesday night time that he used the slur “s—hole countries” aimed at Haiti and African nations during a 2018 assembly with lawmakers, a remark that sparked worldwide outrage during his first time period.

In 2018, Trump denied making the assertion during a closed-door assembly, but on Tuesday, he recalled utilizing it during the rally. He went on to additional disparage Somalia as “filthy, dirty, disgusting, ridden with crime.”

Following the rally, Omar, the consultant for Minnesota’s fifth congressional district, took to X, previously Twitter, to fire back by blasting “Trump’s obsession” with her as “beyond weird.”

“He needs serious help,” she wrote. “Since he has no economic policies to tout, he’s resorting to regurgitating bigoted lies instead. He continues to be a national embarrassment.”
