Holly Willoughby‘s stalker was handed a life sentence final summer time after a terrifying plot towards the ITV star was uncovered – and now a This Morning star has weighed in on how she grew to become a goal.

Ashley James informed Express.co.uk on the crimson carpet that she felt “no-one is doing enough” to fight assaults on girls. “I have total empathy for the really frightening situation that Holly Willoughby found herself in,” she stated.

“I feel like Andrew Tate makes every woman a target. I think he’s normalising really toxic behaviours and that is really damaging for boys and girls.” Tate has publicly described himself as a “misogynist” prior to now and has been charged for intercourse trafficking allegations, which he denies.

Ashley has been a goal of trolling assaults on social media herself, though she’s fortuitously prevented stalkers. “The better you do, the more that you’re exposed to trolling,” she said, as she added she is “”frightened for her future”.

“I really feel like I’ve discovered to not let different people’s points have an effect on me as a result of I assume the trolling is others’ unhappiness projected onto you.” Ashley added that it isn’t just famous people who find themselves under attack.

“I’ve buddies who’ve skilled stalking who aren’t within the public eye. I feel within the public eye, possibly you are more within the highlight, however I feel girls across the nation are equally terrified for the world we at present reside in,” she explained.

Ashley, who brands herself a “voice for girls” and a social injustice campaigner, says she’s also worried for her daughter’s future due to the rise in misogyny she’s witnessed.

Recently, she also appeared to dress up on Instagram as a character from The Handmaid’s Tale in protest against the overturning of the Roe vs Wade law granting US women the right to abortions and reproductive freedom.

On top of that, she feels she’s been the target of “outdated judgment” and “disgrace” after becoming a single mum in her 30s.

However, on a more positive note, Ashley’s settling in since becoming a This Morning star and has loved getting to know Holly Willoughby’s replacement Cat Deeley – one of her “childhood heroes”.

The pair first met on Good Morning Britain and Ashley revealed that she’s an “extremely wonderful” woman, as well as “a pleasure to work with” behind the scenes.

Ashley was present at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday night to watch the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s new show, Corteo.

She was looking forward to watching the performance, which portrays the afterlife through the eyes of a clown in a whirlwind of trampolining, trapezing and backflipping at a colourful carnival.

Cirque du Soleil runs on the Royal Albert Hall till March 2, 2025.
