The Senate will probably be voting on the NDAA on Monday night.

On Monday, President Trump will take part in a Mexican Border Defense Medal presentation in the Oval Office. Then he is attending two different Christmas receptions at the White House, one at 4:15 and one at 8:15 PM Eastern. 

Vice President JD Vance wished a Happy Hanukkah on Sunday night to those celebrating while asking for prayers for the victims in the Bondi Beach assault. 

Wishing all of my Jewish buddies in America a very Happy Hanukkah as they start their celebration this night.

Please say a prayer for all of the victims of the horrible terrorist assault in Australia. May their reminiscence be a blessing.

Dir. Office of Management and Budget – Russ Vought — Vought not too long ago spoke at the Reagan National Defense Forum, where he famous the administration’s scarcest useful resource — time:

“Political capital is not the scarcest resource. You can always build it. Time is our scarcest resource,” Vought, the Office of Management and Budget director, said last week at the Reagan National Defense Forum. “That’s why we’re going at it with everything we’ve got and trying to bulldoze the bureaucracy where it exists.”

MORNING MUSING

I used to be in the midst of making an attempt to gather tales for the Tell Me Something Good section we do on Mondays on the morning show, which wasn’t as simple a process Sunday night as I may need hoped. We’ve been bombarded with dangerous news over the past couple of days. And then got here the news that Rob Reiner and his spouse, Michele Singer, had been discovered lifeless in their Brentwood, California, home, victims of what seems to be a heinous homicide. 

No doubt, we’ll be persevering with to observe and cowl the investigation in the hours and days to come — there are already a lot of questions being raised. But I wished to take a second right here to merely mirror on Rob Reiner’s physique of work, which has introduced me — along with thousands and thousands of others — so a lot pleasure, laughter, and even laughter through tears over the years. Bob Hoge shared this in his initial reporting on the matter, but right here was my initial response:

In the 70s, we watched a show that evinced nostalgia for the late 20s/early 30s. In 2025, we’re feeling nostalgia for the 70s and 80s. 

In the 2060s, will we be reflecting fondly on the 2020s?
