Tom Hardy reportedly had confrontations with both solid and crew members on his collection, MobLand.

Hardy, 48, was described as “refus[ing] to come out of his trailer for hours at a time” while filming the Paramount Plus collection. His absences left fellow solid members, including Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, ready.

The source characterised this habits as a “power play” that also amounted to “career suicide” for the actor, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The British star, who has allegedly been eliminated from MobLand, portrayed Harry Da Souza, the collection’ main protagonist. He reportedly “enraged” Mirren prior to his rumored dismissal from the manufacturing.

His confrontation with Mirren, who portrays Maeve Harrigan, stems from her mounting frustrations with Hardy and “his attitude.”

The 80-year-old actress finds it “annoying” that he “can be late to filming.” She reportedly dislikes “his tone” and the best way he “swaggers around like a king” on set.

Hardy’s MobLand disputes contain the collection’ govt producer, Jez Butterworth, and its manufacturing company, 101 Studios, led by David Glasser.

The Puck e-newsletter, penned by a former editor of The Hollywood Reporter, revealed that Hardy also tried to revise the script, offering his own solutions to Butterworth and MobLand creator Ronan Bennett.

MobLand has not been accepted for a third season. The official release date for the collection’ second season has not been announced. Hardy has developed a fame for being difficult on set. George Miller, who directed Mad Max: Fury Road, in which Hardy portrayed the lead character, Max Rockatansky, mentioned the actor’s demeanor.

“Tom has damage to him but also a brilliance that comes with it. And, whatever was going on with him at the time, he had to be coaxed out of his trailer,” Miller said of Hardy.

Miller noticed that Charlize Theron, Hardy’s co-star, was “incredibly disciplined” and “always the first one on set.” Theron, 50, portrayed Imperator Furiosa. Anya Taylor-Joy subsequently took on the position in the 2024 standalone movie Furiosa.

Miller characterised the strain between Hardy and Theron as their conduct “mirroring their characters, where they had to learn to cooperate in order to ensure mutual survival.

“There’s no excuse for it, and I feel there’s a tendency in this business to use great performances as an excuse for other disruption that might be prevented,” he said.

English actor Patrick Stewart has similarly described Hardy in unflattering terms. In his memoir Making It So, Stewart characterized Hardy as “an odd, solitary younger man from London.”

He famous that “Tom would not interact with any of us on a social degree.

“Never said, ‘Good morning,’ never said, ‘Goodnight,’ and spent the hours he wasn’t needed on set in his trailer with his girlfriend,” reported Stewart.
