Tommy Fleetwood enjoys family time before Rory | Golf News


Tommy Fleetwood has loved a stellar 2025 marketing campaign, but he’ll face off against Shane Lowry and profession grand slam champion Rory McIlroy at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links in a week’s time.

Fleetwood claimed victory at the Tour Championship in August for his much-anticipated PGA Tour triumph and then helped defeat the United States at Bethpage Black.

“I still have goals that I want to achieve in those two tournaments that I’ll strive for, and then when we finally wrap that up, we’ll look towards 2026 and see what we can do,” Fleetwood said.

“I envision those things all the time, it’s just about making it a reality. Absolutely. We’ve still – that’s something we’ll consider. When the season ends you look at potential targets and objectives for the next season,” Fleetwood continued after the championship in India.

“I can continue and I can play Abu Dhabi and Dubai and there are still opportunities left,” Fleetwood famous.

“I’m really excited to get home and practice and prepare for those last two events and see what we can accomplish in those, as well. I was really eager to qualify for those final events, and there was that kind of added pressure as well,” he added.

Fleetwood is presently ranked No. 5 in the world and is a two-time winner of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in 2017 and 2018.

“Yas Links is a fantastic golf course and the atmosphere is always amazing. I’ve had some wonderful memories here over the years, and starting the DP World Tour Play-Offs in front of family and friends gives me that extra push to end the season on a high note,” Fleetwood said.
