Tory Lanez is back in headlines, and this time it’s not about music or court drama, it’s about a $100 million lawsuit tied to a brutal prison stabbing that practically took him out. According to GWN, the Toronto rapper has filed swimsuit against the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, along with the warden and about 50 correctional officers at California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. And yes, the quantity he’s asking for is as big as it sounds.

Tory claims he was stabbed 16 occasions in May 2025 by another inmate who got here at him with a shank. As beforehand reported, the person who allegedly stabbed the rapper who’s serving a 10-year sentence claimed he acted in self-defense, believing Lanez was really making an attempt to end his life. The accidents had been no mild work. He says he suffered two collapsed lungs and everlasting scarring to his face. The lawsuit breaks it down in a means that makes you pause. He also says employees had been nowhere to be discovered when issues went left, and the delayed response only made the scenario worse. In his phrases, the prison confirmed deliberate indifference to foreseeable violence and failed to shield him.
It doesn’t stop there. Tory also alleges that while he was in the hospital recovering, his personal belongings had been mishandled. He says his unique songbooks, crammed with unpublished lyrics, had been taken along with notes meant for his attorney. He insists those lyrics carry real business worth and desires them returned.
